π¨π¨help a black queer afford dental care due to intense jaw pain and tmjπππ
heres the expense list i was given for braces. i was told to apply for care credit (which is credit for dental/medical expenses) and was approved but bc my credit wasnt good enough i only got approved for this amount down below
my jaw is absolutely messed up and uneven and my teeth are causing pain so braces are my only option at this point and i already paid the $400 for the records so i only need help with the remaining $900ππ
so far yall have helped me raise $440 of my goal and i think due to the notes on my first post everything slowed down so i decided to remake the post bc i get my braces July 18thπΊπΏπΊπΏ
Also, newer Samsung phones have a thing called “SOS messages”. Once you set it up, pressing the power button 3 times will make the phone send your location, a photo, and 5 second audio recording to your emergency contact.

The media and criminal justice system should respect, protect and trust
Black women and girls — instead of unjustly persecuting us. The media
and the criminal justice system should function as tools to support our
girls, not as systems that repeatedly fail them. Demanding proper
support from formal structures can start at the grassroots level: When
we hear of a Black girl who has disappeared, use #BlackGirlMissing
to amplify her story. Listening to Black women sometimes means
interrogating why they’re not speaking, why their voice has gone silent.
